I just found this great website (well really, they found me and posted my Wilson Aquatic Center Super Post) – it’s called Go Out and Play – What to Do in Arlington and Beyond. Now I have to admit it’s very rare that I make it to Virginia, but Go Out and Play covers things all over the DC area, including postings on what to do on the weekends, and fun activities during the week. So even if you’re not in Arlington, check it out for great ideas of things to do with your toddler. The mom who writes it has a 2 year old, which makes her ideas perfect for me and my little one.
Also of note, on the right hand side of Go Out and Play is a list of Local Blogs most of which seem to be kid oriented. I’m planning to bookmark these and check them out – one of my new years resolutions was to get Cameron out and enjoying DC more – and I think these are great resources to help!
How exciting! The New York Times Local blog is calling for pictures from Fort Greene and Clinton Hill residents again. This time, it’s all about Halloween. So be sure to snap some pictures of your little one all dressed up in their Halloween best, enjoying the neighborhood, and send it in! The details can be found here. Good luck – I got Cameron in last time, as well as a few other photos I took!

Is your baby a little fashionista? Make sure she is super chic with the help of Chic Squirt – a new mom’s guide for stylish tots, run by Clinton Hill Local, Celia (and baby Claire, pictured)
Even before I became a mom I would read Clinton Hill Blog religiously. Now I find it extra useful because they often talk about activities and places to eat that are kid friendly / kid centric in the Clinton Hill and Fort Greene area of Brooklyn. Here’s the link to their topics tagged with KIDS – for quick reference. Check it out – no blog is an island, and I certainly don’t know everything that’s going on in the neighborhood for kids!
