Use Amazon for your baby’s Birthday Registry!

For Cameron’s first birthday I used Amazon to create a registry of items I thought he would enjoy.  At first I felt a little weird about it, but guests commented that it made it easy for them to pick out something they knew he would like.  Also, Amazon automatically creates a thank you list which keeps track of all the addresses of the gift givers so you know where to send the thank you cards (assuming you have time to get those done!)  Overall it made things super easy – so give it a try.

Some of the toys Cameron got that were his favorites were: The Umbrella Doll Stroller (a mini stroller) a fisher price school bus and a drum set

My Mitten Solution (so far, so good)

I’ve been struggling to decide what to do regarding Cameron’s poor little freezing fingers.  He is constantly taking off his socks, shoes, and hats, so I didn’t have much hope that anything on his hands would stay there more than 5 minutes.

I saw a post awhile back on Celia’s blog Chic Squirt about Stonz Wear baby booties, and while exploring the site I acame across their Mittz.  The website claims they will stay on!  And the design looked promising.  So I asked for a pair (along with some booties) for Cameron’s birthday, and was happy when some arrived in the mail.  We haven’t broken out the booties yet, but we’ve been using the mittz and they do indeed stay on!  They ones for kids under 2 don’t have thumbs, which is a key feature.  Not only does it make them easy to put on, it makes them hard for Cameron to get off.  I thought he would be annoyed, but he totally didn’t seem to mind!  Plus his fingers were nice and toasty. :)

Mommy on Break

It’s hard to believe it – but tomorrow is Cameron’s first Birthday!  The grandparents are in town, and there’s lots to do to prepare…. so I’ll be on break for a little bit.  Have a great weekend.  See you on Monday!
