So far Cameron has managed to kill several electronic devices – an iPhone (excessive drool), a digital camera (sticky fingers in the lens and smashing), and our printer (suprise! matchbox car parked inside). I was afraid our TV was next on his hit list.

A little tape in the lower left hand corner = access denied!
Cameron loves to press buttons and flip switches, and he found the on/off button on the TV to be particularly entertaining. The constant pressing of the button was worrying my husband and I so he got out some tape and taped over it. Not the most elegant solution – but it worked! No more on/off for the TV.
We recently had a few people over for Cameron’s first Birthday and our Great Wall was certainly one of the popular conversation topics.

Cameron VS the Great Wall
In our living room against a wall sits my computer desk – something which is extremely enticing to Cameron (cords, LED lights, and fans, oh my!) – and also something that really can’t be moved to any other section of the house. Because of this, we fence it off with what we call the Great Wall. I got it from Amazon – It can be used to create an enclosed space, or to block off an area. And although it is admittedly very ugly (I think one of the reviews on Amazon compared it to a “dog crate,”) it is also very sturdy and gets the job done. It folds up when not in use -we hide ours behind a door. If you need more panels, they can also be purchased. If you’ve got an area in your house which can’t be made baby friendly, no matter how hard you try – consider getting yourself a Great Wall
The other day I was at a mom’s house for a playgroup and I noticed her glass coffee table had its edges covered with foam pipe insulation (can easily be found at a home depot or hardware store). What an amazing idea! The pieces were stuck together with electrical tape, although I am guessing any hearty tape would do. Mom genius at work!

I’ve always dried Cameron off after his bath on the floor next to our bathroom vanity cabinets. Lately he decided it would be super fun to open and close them relentlessly as I attempt to dry him off. The other day at the pool my friend Crystal mentioned that she was using rubber bands untill her babyproofing stuff arrived in the mail…. so I got some out today pre bath time. Worked like a charm – for now!
