Even though I’m 31, I still watch A Charlie Brown Christmas special every year. It brings back such great memories for me. This year, I plan to watch it with Cameron as well – on Hulu! Of course, I also love the sound track. It’s jazzy, festive, and takes me right back to when I was a kid…. and I’m listening to it right now as I type this post.
There’s other great classics coming up on TV you might not want to miss (and you might want to share with your kids….):
Saturday 12/12 at 8pm on CBS: Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer
Saturday 12/12 at 8 on ABC: the Polar Express (a newer movie, but not too shabby!)
Saturday 12/19 at 8 on NBC: A Muppet’s Christmas
Wednesday 12/23 at 8 on ABC: How the Grinch Stole Christmas
Thursday 12/24 at 8 on NBC: It’s a Wonderful Life
If there are other shows you remember as a kid and want to see, check out Hulu and see if you can find them. It’s a great resource!

It’s a Wonderful Life is such a great movie; so many great lessons for kids. It’s got some very grown-up themes, but they’re done in such a great way that everyone can get ‘em. I’d also throw in A Christmas Story, especially for boys, because it really encompasses everything the Christmas experience was for me as a kid, and I think a lot of young boys these days miss out because of the massive wave of commercials and consumerism that’s thrown at ‘em so early.
We missed you at the Buddy party, hope the little guy’s doing well!
